Talent Awards for Non-Music Majors

Outstanding high school musicians who are interesting in participating in music ensembles during their time at EIU as a non-music major are encouraged to apply for a Non-Music Major Talent Award.  This is a competitive, renewable $1000 annual award, for up to four years!

If you are interested in Concert Bands, Choirs, Orchestra, and/or Jazz, please complete this short online application form.

Application deadline: April 1, 2026.

Renewal criteria:  Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and continue to be enrolled in a music ensemble each semester.

Panther Marching Band Talent Awards:

• Students interested in a talent award for Panther Marching Band, should complete the Panther Marching Band Scholarship form.
