Thank you, Michelle, for the kindness, compassion, and care you bring to our team each day. Your attention to detail and the genuine way you support those around you make such a meaningful difference, and we are so grateful you will be continuing to share your heart and talents with the Freshmen Connection program next year.

Liz has been the steady force behind so much of the Freshmen Connection program, bringing organization, leadership, and care to everything she does. Her ability to keep our team connected, supported, and moving forward has made such a meaningful impact, and we are incredibly grateful that she will continue sharing her talents and heart with our program next year.

Alesha has brought heart, positivity, and connection to our Freshmen Connection team in such a meaningful way. Her ability to make others feel welcomed, supported, and valued is something that will truly be missed. She has made a lasting impact on our program and the people around her, and we are so grateful for all she has given to EIU.

Over the past two years, Serena has been an incredible leader, teacher, and source of support within our Freshmen Connection Program. Her heart for students, dedication, and willingness to always step in and help have made a lasting impact on our team and the EIU community. While we are so excited for what’s ahead for her, she will truly be missed, and this program is better because she was part of it.

Kim is such a valued colleague in the FDIC. She does so much behind the scenes - OCDI, HDCI, website updates, facilitating multiple faculty learning communities, assisting faculty with instructional design questions, planning for a new faculty orientation for adjuncts, and more - but her work is very much appreciated. EIU is a better place because of you!

Jacob is unfailingly, competent, friendly and very helpful! I appreciate his hard work and dedication. Especially during inventory time. Thank you Jacob!

Austin is always very eager to help. Whether he is assisting users with technical issues, providing a visitor with directions, or assisting a co-worker with a task. Austin makes EIU a better place just by being here!

As always, Chadd does a great job - thanks for setting up my new computer.

In a mad dash at the end of the semester, Christina and her team managed to secure textbooks for our students who are studying abroad in Italy this summer, saving them some Euros that they can put towards buying more gelato! Grazie Mille Christina!!!

Jude displayed much expertise and professionalism to a recent campus visitor and provided a wonderful experience for them! He represented EIU and ITS very well!

Students have a tendency to wait until the last minute to finish big projects and I had a bunch of them in a computer lab this week trying to wrap up some stuff they probably should have done a few weeks ago! Having computer issues during crunch time was stressful for everyone, but Austin came over right away and got us up and running. He stayed to make sure the students were able to get their work done and it may have saved a few of their grades! Thanks Austin!!!

David, thank you for all of your support during Research Day, especially with the livestream. You and Chris are always going out of your way to support others. You both have stepped in to save the day (or the AV equipment). Thank you for sharing your expertise and always being willing to help!

Chris, your support during Research Day—especially with the livestream and working through all the details to make it successful—was incredible. You went above and beyond, even staying to ensure everything ran smoothly. You always bring a willingness to help and a positive attitude, and we are so thankful for your expertise and dedication.

Nate, thank you so much for being so easy to work with. You consistently go above and beyond and are always willing to jump in and help, no matter how much you already have going on. Your flexibility and positive attitude do not go unnoticed—we truly appreciate your willingness to help whenever needed!

Myra, I really enjoyed working with you on Research Day. Your attention to detail and your commitment to excellence truly stand out. Nate helped us out with a Student Teaching Application issue that would have been a significant problem if left unresolved--and did it in minutes!!!

Shoutout to Ke’an for her outstanding leadership in advancing our donor engagement efforts! Her vision and dedication brought to life our very first donor-centered EIU at Your Door program. An exciting milestone that strengthens how we connect with and celebrate our supporters. Thanks to her thoughtful approach and execution, we’re building more meaningful, personal relationships with our donors in ways that truly reflect the spirit of EIU.
