The University may provide employees gift leave days during winter break. Gift days may vary by date and number depending on the calendar of approved state holidays between Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Gift days may not be used to accrue overtime eligibility and in the case of designated employees who may be required to perform campus duties as normally scheduled during winter break may deploy the gift days with supervisor approval prior to March 31 of the next calendar year and cannot be carried forward. Upon separation from the university, gift days are non-compensable.
